PD-L2 Information: PD-L2 Protein, PD-L2 Antibody and PD-L2 Gene

PD-L2 Gene family

PD-L2 Protein

PD-L2 protein function

Involved in the costimulatory signal, essential for T-cell proliferation and IFNG production in a PDCD1-independent manner. Interaction with PDCD1 inhibits T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.

PD-L2 protein expression

Tissue specificity

Highly expressed in heart, placenta, pancreas, lung and liver and weakly expressed in spleen, lymph nodes and thymus.

Induction

Up-regulated by IFNG/IFN-gamma stimulation in monocytes and induced on dendritic cells grown from peripheral blood mononuclear cells with CSF2 and IL4/interleukin-4.

PD-L2 Gene

PDCD1LG2 gene / cDNA is a protein-coding gene which located on 9p24.1. The PDCD1LG2 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, and chicken.160 organisms have orthologs with human gene PDCD1LG2.
