H5N2 is an influenza virus subtype that infects a lot of birds. Birds infected with H5N2 would not appear ill. But, there are also some highly pathogenic strains of H5N2. In 1983, H5N2 has caused flu outbreaks to many farms in Chickens and Turkeys which lead to great economic losses.
People may infect with H5N2, but there are no harms to health. Even highly pathogenic H5N2 can only cause conjunctivitis or a mild respiratory illness.
