Suppressor of cytokine signaling1 (SOCS1) is a widely recognized tumor suppressor gene. Silencing of SOCS1 expression as a result of promoter methylation is associated with occurrence and development of solid tumors such as liver, cervical and pancreatic cancer. Downregulation of suppressor of cytokine signalling-1 (SOCS1) is one of the vital reasons for JAK1-STAT3 pathway activation in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). The DCs transduced with SOCS1 gene exhibit as DCregs through negative regulation of JAK2/STAT1 pathway and ameliorated lipopolysaccharide/d-galactosamine induced acute liver failure via inhibition of TLR4 pathway.
