Immunofluorescence (IF/ICC) Troubleshooting: Why the antibody without IF application can’t used for IF test?

If the specification does not apply to the IF, it means that antibody may have not been verified by IF. Thus you use this antibody for IF, the result can't be guarantee to be a certain right result.
In generally, the marketable immune fluorescence antibodies are tested in relevant applications. It is very necessary to read the datasheet to see whether the antibody has other application. If the antibody has other application, thus the researchers can used the antibody to do other test based on the other application. However, if the antibody can be show only used in immune fluorescence should not be used for other application. All the antibodies should be confirm can be used in all described application. The epitope recognized by the antibody are different to the epitopte of the other application.
