TNFAIP3 (TNF Alpha Induced Protein 3) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 6q23.3. TNFAIP3 is also known as A20, AISBL, OTUD7C and TNFA1P2. The human TNFAIP3 gene encodes an 89614 Da protein containing 790 amino acids. The TNFAIP3 protein is broadly expressed in bone marrow, appendix and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Nucleotide-binding domain, leucine rich repeat containing receptor (NLR) signaling pathways and Signaling by GPCR. TNFAIP3 is related to ligase activity and thiol-dependent ubiquitin-specific protease activity. OTUD7A is an important paralog of TNFAIP3 gene. TNFAIP3 is associated with some diseases, including Autoinflammatory Syndrome, Familial, Behcet-Like and Iridocyclitis.
