Human ICAM2 Materials provided
Capture Ab:0.5 mg/mL of rabbit anti-ICAM2 monoclonal antibody. Dilute to a working concentration of 2.0 μg/mL in CBS before coating.
Detection Ab:0.5 mg/mL rabbit anti-ICAM2 monoclonal antibody conjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP). Dilute to working concentration of 0.5 μg/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use.
Standard:Each vial contains 35 ng of recombinant ICAM2. Reconstitute standard powder with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20℃ to -80℃ in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve using 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 3000 pg/mL is recommended.

The minimum detectable dose of Human ICAM-2 / CD102 was determined to be approximately 46.875 pg/ml. This is defined as at least three times standard deviations above the mean optical density of 10 replicates of the zero standard.

The Human ICAM-2 / CD102 ELISA Pair Set is for the quantitative determination of Human ICAM-2 / CD102.
This ELISA Pair Set contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs.
The Sino Biological ELISA Pair Set is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). It utilizes a monoclonal antibody specific for ICAM-2 / CD102 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and any ICAM-2 / CD102 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and a horseradish peroxidase conjugated rabbit anti-ICAM-2 / CD102 monoclonal antibody is then added, producing an antibody-antigen-antibody “sandwich”. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is loaded, which produces color in proportion to the amount of ICAM-2 / CD102 present in the sample. To end the enzyme reaction, the stop solution is added and absorbances of the microwell are read at 450 nm.

Capture Antibody: Aliquot and store at -20℃ to -80℃ for up to 6 months from date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Detection Antibody: Protect it from prolonged exposure to light. Aliquot and store at -20℃ to -80℃ and for up to 6 months from date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Standard: Store lyophilized Standard at -20℃ to -80℃ for up to 6 months from date of receipt. Aliquot and store the reconstituted Standard at -80℃ for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

ICAM-2/CD102 Background

Intercellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM-2, CD102), belongs to the ICAM family consisting of three members identified as ligands for integrin receptors. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein with two Ig-like C2-type domains, and binds to the leukocyte integrins LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18). As a second ligand of leukocyte function-associated antigen-1, ICAM-2 functions as a costimulatory molecule for effector cells. ICAM-2 is mainly expressed on vascular endothelial and hematopoietic cells. Interactions of ICAM-2 and the integrin receptors mediate cell adhesion in a wide range of lymphocyte, monocyte, natural killer cell, and granulocytewith other cells, and play important roles in many adhesion-dependent immune and inflammation responses, such as T cell aggregation, NK-cell cytotoxicity and migration, lymphocyte recirculation, etc. Serum levels of ICAM-2 correlated significantly with the inflammatory and course sequences of trichinosis in mice and had a similar relation with blood eosinophilia. So, estimation of ICAM-2 serum levels may prove useful in diagnosis of trichinosis recent infections, and in monitoring the prognosis and response to treatment.
