Human KLK-13 Materials provided
Capture Ab:0.25 mg/mL of mouse anti-KLK13 monoclonal antibody. Dilute to a working concentration of 2.0 μg/mL in CBS before coating.
Detection Ab:0.5 mg/mL rabbit anti-KLK13 polyclonal antibody conjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP). Dilute to working concentration of 0.5 μg/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use.
Standard:Each vial contains 110 ng of recombinant KLK13. Reconstitute standard powder with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20℃ to -80℃ in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve usi ng 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 2500 pg/mL is recommended.
Human KLK-13 Specificity
Human KLK-13 Sensitivity
The minimum detectable dose of Human KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 was determined to be approximately 39.0625 pg/ml. This is defined as at least three times standard deviations above the mean optical density of 10 replicates of the zero standard.
Human KLK-13 Principle of the product
The human KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 ELISA Pair Set is for the quantitative determinationof human KLK13 / Kallikrein 13.
This ELISA Pair Set contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs.
The Sino Biological ELISA Pair Set is asolid phase sandwich ELISA (Enzyme-Linked ImmunosorbentAssay). It utilizes a monoclonal antibody specific for KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples areadded to the wells, and any KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 presentbinds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and a horseradish peroxidase conjugated rabbit anti-KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 polyclonal antibody is then added, producing anantibody-antigen-antibody "sandwich". The wells are again washed and TMBsubstrate solution is loaded, which produces color in proportion to the amountof KLK13 / Kallikrein 13 presentin the sample. To end the enzyme reaction, the stop solution is added and absorbances of the microwell are read at 450 nm.

KLK13/Kallikrein 13 Background

Human tissue kallikrein 13 (hK13), also known as KLK-L4 (kallikrein-like gene 4), is a member of the human tissue kallikrein family of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions in many tissues. The KLK13 gene resides on chromosome 19q13.3-4 along with other 14 members in a gene cluster and shares a high degree of homology. KLK13 is a trypsin-like, secreted serine protease expressed specifically in the testicular tissue including prostate, salivary gland, breast, and testis. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may play a role in metastasis. KLK13 may be involved in the pathogenesis and/or progression of breast and ovary cancers, and is regarded as a novel cancer biomarker. In addition, KLK13 interacts and forms complexes with several serum protease inhibitors, such as alpha2-macroglobulin, and its expression is regulated by steroid hormones.
