Human TEK Antibody Product Information
Immunogen:Recombinant Human Tie2 / CD202b / TEK protein (Catalog#10700-H08H)
Clone ID:07
Ig Type:Mouse IgG1
Formulation:0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS
Preparation:This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human Tie2 / CD202b / TEK (rh Tie2 / CD202b / TEK; Catalog#10700-H08H; NP_000450.2; Met1-Lys745). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Immunofluorescence staining of Human Tie2 in HUVEC cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with Mouse anti-Human Tie2 monoclonal antibody (15 µg/ml) at 37℃ 1 hour. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Goat Anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to cell membrane and cytoplasm.

Tie2(CD202b)/TEK Background

TEK, or TIE-2, is an endothelial cell-specific receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) that is known as a functioning molecule of vascular endothelial cells. TEK comprises a subfamily of RTK with TIE, and these two receptors play critical roles in vascular maturation, maintenance of integrity and remodeling. Targeted mutagenesis of both Tek and its agonistic ligand, Angiopoietin-1, result in embryonic lethality, demonstrating that the signal transduction pathways mediated by this receptor are crucial for normal embryonic development. TEK signaling is indispensable for the development of the embryonic vasculature and suggests that TEK signaling may also be required for the development of the tumor vasculature.
