Antibody Affinity Maturation Service Description

To achieve certain level of therapeutic effects in vivo, an antibody needs to reach a minimum affinity level. However, in some cases it may not be easy to screening for antibodies that possess the right biological function and have very high antigen binding affinity in the same time. In this case, improving an existing antibody's antigen-binding affinity might be the best approach one could take the antibody into clinical development. In some other cases, an antibody's affinity can drop significantly after humanization. Hence increase the humanized antibody's affinity back to the level before its humanization may be necessary. Affinity maturation is a common strategy to improve an antibody's antigen-binding affinity.
