aFGF / FGF1 Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human FGF1 / aFGF |
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human aFGF in WB. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect FGF-acidic. The detection limit for FGF-acidic is approximately 0.15 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for 1 month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

aFGF / FGF1 Antibody Background
The FGF-acidic (acidic fibroblast growth factor ) protein is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. FGF-acidic functions as a modifier of endothelial cell migration and proliferation. It acts as a mitogen for a variety of mesoderm- and neuroectoderm-derived cells in vitro. It is also thought to be involved in organogenesis.
