• Specificity: Mouse TIMD4 / TIM4
• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse TIMD4 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for mouse TIMD4 is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5 - 1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse TIMD4. The detection limit for mouse TIMD4 is 0.00245 ng/well
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
  Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Mouse TIMD4 / TIM4 Antibody Background

Mouse T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 4, also known as T-cell membrane protein 4, TIMD4, and TIM4, is a single-pass type I  membrane protein which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and TIM family. TIM4 contains one Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. It is expressed on dendritic cells and macrophages. TIM4 plays an important role in the proliferation of T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. TIM4 is involved in regulating T-cell proliferation and lymphotoxin signaling. It is a ligand for HAVCR1 / TIMD1. The expression of TIM4 in fibroblasts enhanced their ability to engulf apoptotic cells. TIM4 and TIM1 are phosphatidylserine receptors for the engulfment of apoptotic cells, and may also be involved in intercellular signalling in which exosomes are involved. Modulation of TIM4 production in dendritic cells (DCs) represents a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of peanut allergy.
