• Specificity: Mouse THSD1 / TMTSP
• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse THSD1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for mouse THSD1 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse THSD1. The detection limit for mouse THSD1 is approximately 0.00245 ng/well
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.

THSD1 / TMTSP Antibody Background

Mouse thrombospondin type-1 domain-containing protein 1, also known as transmembrane molecule with thrombospondin module, THSD1 and TMTSP, is a single-pass type I membrane protein which contains one TSP type-1 domain. Isoform 3 of THSD1 is a secreted protein. THSD1 is a good novel candidate TSG mapping to 13q14. Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR detected down-regulation of THSD1 expression in 100% of ESCC and other cancer cell lines. Mechanisms for THSD1 silencing in ESCC involved loss of heterozygosity and promoter hypermethylation, as analyzed by methylation-specific PCR and clonal bisulfite sequencing. Transfection of wild-type THSD1 into SLMT-1 resulted in significant reduction of colony-forming ability, hence providing functional evidence for its growth-suppressive activity.
