3H2F4C6 |
| Ig Type : |
Mouse IgG1 |
| Formulation : | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
| Preparation : |
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human SULT2B1 (rh SULT2B1; Catalog#11410-H07E; NP_004596.2; Asp 2-Ser 365). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
SULT2B1 Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human SULT2B1 |
|
No cross-reactivity in ELISA with Human SULT1B1 Human SULT2A1 Human SULT1E1 E.coli cell lysate |
|
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SULT2B1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human SULT2B1 is approximately 4 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 1 ng/lane under reducing conditions. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SULT2B1. The detection limit for Human SULT2B1 is approximately 0.039 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

SULT2B1 Antibody Background
Sulfotransferase family cytosolic 2B member 1, also known as Sulfotransferase 2B1, ST2B1, Alcohol sulfotransferase, Hydroxysteroid sulfotransferase 2, SULT2B1 and HSST2, is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to thesulfotransferase 1 family. The human hydroxysteroid sulfotransferase (SULT) family is comprised of two subfamilies, SULT2A1 and SULT2B1. SULT2B1 is expressed highly in placenta, prostate and trachea. A lesser expression of SULT1B1 was observed in the small intestine and lung. SULT2B1 catalyzes the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs and xenobiotic compounds. Sulfonation increases the water solubility of most compounds, and therefore their renal excretion, but it can also result in bioactivation to form active metabolites. SULT2B1 sulfates hydroxysteroids like DHEA. Isoform1 preferentially sulfonates cholesterol. The two SULT2B1 isoforms, SULT2B1a and SULT2B1b, are encoded by a single gene as a result of alternative transcription initiation and alternative splicing. SULT2B1b catalyzes the sulfonation of 3beta-hydroxysteroid hormones and cholesterol, whereas SULT2B1a preferentially catalyzes pregnenolone sulfonation.
