Recombinant Human STK4 / MST1 protein (Catalog#11533-H07B) |
| Antibody Type : | Mouse Monoclonal Antibody ( Mouse mAb Service Platform ) |
|
Clone ID : |
1G5H4 |
| Ig Type : |
Mouse IgG1 |
| Formulation : | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
| Preparation : |
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human STK4 / MST1 (rh STK4 / MST1; Catalog#11533-H07B; Q13043-1; Glu 2-Phe 487). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
STK4 / MST1 Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human STK4 / MST1 |
|
No cross-reactivity in ELISA with Baculovirus lysate |
|
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human STK4 in WB. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human STK4. The detection limit for Human STK4 is approximately 0.078 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

STK4 / MST1 Antibody Background
Serine/threonine-protein kinase 4, also known as Mammalian STE20-like protein kinase 1, MST-1, STE20-like kinase MST1, Serine/threonine-protein kinase Krs-2 STK4 and MST1, is a cytoplasm and nucleus protein which belongs to theprotein kinase superfamily, STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family and STE20 subfamily. STK4 / MST-1 is ubiquitously expressed. It contains oneprotein kinase domain and oneSARAH domain. STK4 / MST-1 is stress-activated, pro-apoptotic kinase which, following caspase-cleavage, enters the nucleus and induces chromatin condensation followed by internucleosomal DNA fragmentation. STK4 / MST-1 is a key component of the Hippo signaling pathway which plays a pivotal role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. The core of this pathway is composed of a kinase cascade wherein MST1/MST2, in complex with its regulatory protein SAV1, phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2 in complex with its regulatory protein MOB1, which in turn phosphorylates and inactivates YAP1 oncoprotein and WWTR1/TAZ. STK4 / MST-1 phosphorylates 'Ser-14' of histone H2B (H2BS14ph) during apoptosis. STK4 / MST-1 phosphorylates FOXO3 upon oxidative stress, which results in its nuclear translocation and cell death initiation.
