SPARCL1 / MAST9 Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human SPARCL1 / MAST9 |
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1 - 2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human SPARCL1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for human SPARCL1 is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human SPARCL1. The detection limit for human SPARCL1 is approximately 0.039 ng/well |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

SPARCL1 / MAST9 Antibody Background
SPARC-like protein 1 ( SPARCL1; also known as SC1, high endothelial venule protein, or hevin ) is an extracellular matrix-associated, secreted glycoprotein belonging to the SPARC (secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine) family of matricellular proteins. It contains three conserved structural domains that are implicated in the regulation of cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. SPARCL1 is expressed in a wide range of tissues, such as tissues of the lymph node, brain, heart, lung, skeletal muscle, ovary, small intestine, and colon. SPARCL1 has anti-adhesive properties, and loss of SPARCL1 expression is associated with increased proliferative activity and cell cycle progression. It is suggested that it may influence multiple cellular processes during distinct stages of brain development and function. SC1 may also be involved in the pathogenesis of multiple neural traumas and function as a tumor suppressor and regulator of angiogenesis, and is aberrantly expressed in brain tumors.
