SECTM1 Antibody Product Information
| Immunogen : |
Recombinant Human SECTM1 protein (Catalog#12269-H08H) |
| Antibody Type : | Mouse Monoclonal Antibody ( Mouse mAb Service Platform ) |
|
Clone ID : |
5F2D2 |
| Ig Type : |
Mouse IgG1 |
| Formulation : | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
| Preparation : |
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human SECTM1 (rh SECTM1; Catalog#12269-H08H; Q8WVN6-1; Met 1-Gly 145). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
SECTM1 Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human SECTM1 |
|
No cross-reactivity in ELISA with Human cell lysate (293 cell line) |
|
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SECTM1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human SECTM1 is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SECTM1. The detection limit for Human SECTM1 is approximately 0.16 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

SECTM1 Antibody Background
Secreted and transmembrane 1 (SECTM1) protein, or K12 protein is a member of the SECTM family. This transmembrane and secreted protein with characteristics of a type 1a transmembrane protein. SECTM1/K12 was originally identified by its location just upstream of the CD7 locus. The human K12 protein has been shown to be primarily expressed in spleen, prostate, testis, small intestine, and in peripheral blood leukocytes. Immunohistochemical analysis of peripheral blood cells shows that K12 is found in leukocytes of the myeloid lineage, with the strongest staining observed in granulocytes and no detectable expression in lymphocytes. Thus, it concludes that K12 is a novel molecule with potential importance in hematopoietic and/or immune system processes. K12/SECTM1may be involved in thymocyte signaling, and plays in T cell activation. In addition, the thymic microenvironment-produced K12 in regulation of thymocyte signaling and cytokine release, particularly in the setting of thymus pathology where IFN-gamma is upregulated such as myasthenia gravis.
