|Each vial contains 120 ng of recombinant NAALADL1. Reconstitute with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20℃ to -80℃ in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve usi ng 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 5 ng/mL is recommended.|

This ELISA Pair Set contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs.
The Sino Biological ELISA Pair Set is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). It utilizes a monoclonal antibody specific for NAALADL1 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and any NAALADL1 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and a horseradish peroxidase conjugated rabbit anti-NAALADL1 polyclonal antibody is then added, producing an antibody-antigen-antibody “sandwich”. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is loaded, which produces color in proportion to the amount of NAALADL1 present in the sample. To end the enzyme reaction, the stop solution is added and absorbances of the microwell are read at 450 nm.

N-acetylated-alpha-linked acidic dipeptidase-like protein, also known as NAALADL1, NAALADase L, and Ileal dipeptidylpeptidase, is a Single-pass type I I membrane protein and a member of the peptidase M28 family and M28B subfamily. NAALADase L is mainly expressed in the distal small intestine. It is also expressed in the spleen and testis and Weakly expressed in the brain, locating mainly to the brain stem, amygdala, thalamus and ventral striatum. NAALADase L is a chloride-activated, membrane bound, metallopeptidase that cleaves the endogenous neuropeptide N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamate (NAAG). NAAG acts as a partial NMDA agonist as well as a full agonist at the presynaptic metabotropic glutamate receptor 3 (mGluR3), where it acts to reduce glutamate release. NAALADase L also exhibits a dipeptidyl-peptidase IV type activity. NAALADase inhibition may be a novel therapeutic approach to reduce or inhibit heightened aggressiveness, and possibly to treat aggressive behavior associated with psychiatric disorders.
