MMP-8 Antibody Product Information

Immunogen :

Recombinant Human MMP-8 protein (Catalog#10254-H08H)

Reagents : FITC-conjugated rabbit monoclonal antibody

Clone ID :

023

Ig Type :

Rabbit IgG

Concentration :

10 μl/Test, 0.1 mg/ml

Formulation : Aqueous solution containing 0.5% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide
Preparation :

This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human MMP-8 (rh MMP-8; Catalog#10254-H08H; NP_002415.1; Met 1-Gly 467) and conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions, the unreacted FITC was removed.

MMP-8 Antibody Usage Guide

Specificity :

Human MMP-8

Flow Cytometry :
分子 Flow Cytometry

Flow cytometric analysis of Human MMP8 expression in Jurkat cells. The cells were treated according to manufacturer’s manual (BD Pharmingen™ Cat. No. 554714), and then stained with FITC Rabbit anti-MMP8 (10254-R023-F). The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells.

Flow cytometry was performed on a BD FACSCalibur flow cytometry system

Please refer to www.sinobiological.com/Flow-Cytometry-FACS-Protocols-a-750.html for technical protocols.

Storage : This antibody is stable for 12 months from date of receipt when stored at 2℃-8℃. Protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze !
Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Flush with large volumes of water during disposal.

MMP-8 Antibody Background

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases that degrade components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and play essential roles in various physiological processes such as morphogenesis, differentiation, angiogenesis and tissue remodeling, as well as pathological processes including inflammation, arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary diseases and tumor invasion. Neutrophil collagenase, also known as Matrix metalloproteinase-8, MMP-8, and CLG1, is a member of the peptidase M10A family. MMP-8 may affect the metastatic behaviour of breast cancer cells through protection against lymph node metastasis, underlining the importance of anti-target identification in drug development. MMP-8 participates in wound repair by contributing to the resolution of inflammation and open the possibility to develop new strategies for treating wound healing defects.
