Influenza ELISA Kit Background
First Swine Influenza 2009 Testing Kit The H1N1 (Swine Flu 2009) Hemagglutinin ELISA kit is the first swine flu 2009 testing kit in the world. It specifically tests swine influenza 2009 H1N1 hemagglutinin, but has no cross-reactivity with seasonal flu H1N1 hemagglutinin.
Avian Influenza Testing Kit H5N1 (Avian Flu) Hemagglutinin ELISA kit is for the quantitative determination of hemagglutinin.
The influenza ELISA kits are solid phase sandwich ELISA ( Enzyme-Link Immunosorbent Assay), which are to be used for the in-vitro quantitative determination of hemagglutinin with high sensitivity and specificity. A monoclonal antibody specific for hemagglutinin has been coated onto a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and any hemagglutinin present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and a horseradish peroxidase conjugated rabbit anti- hemagglutinin polyclonal antibody is then added, producing an antibody-antigen-antibody “sandwich”. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is loaded, which produces color in proportion to the amount of hemagglutinin present in the sample. To end the enzyme reaction, the stop solution is added and absorbances of the microwell are read at 450 nm.
The minimum detectable dose of 2009 H1N1 hemagglutinin for the 2009 H1N1 ELISA kit was determined to be approximately 25 pg/ml, which is defined as at least three times standard deviations above the mean optical density of 10 replicates of the zero standard. It has no cross-reactivity with H1N1 (A/Brisbane/59/2007), H5N1 (A/Anhui/1/2005), H5N1 (A/Vietnam/1194/2004) and Influenza B (B/Florida/4/2006), and H3N2 (A/Brisbane/10/2007). The minimum detectable dose of H5N1 hemagglutinin for the H5N1 ELISA kit was determined to be approximately78 pg/ml.
