Influenza A/New York/18/2009 (A/New York/18/09) Background

In virus classification influenza viruses are RNA viruses that make up three of the five genera of the family Orthomyxoviridae: Influenza A, Influenza B and Influenza C, which are very similar in overall structure. The type A viruses are the most virulent human pathogens among the three influenza types and cause the most severe disease. There are several subtypes, labeled according to an H number (for the type of hemagglutinin) and an N number (for the type of neuraminidase). Pandemic influenza viruses cause significant mortality in humans. In the 20th century, 3 influenza viruses caused major pandemics: the 1918 H1N1 virus, the 1957 H2N2 virus, and the 1968 H3N2 virus.

Sino Biological Inc offer Recombinant Hemagglutinin Protein from the A/New York/18/2009 (H1N1) for research aim.
