| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1 - 2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human ICAM2 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for human ICAM2 is approximately 0.125 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human ICAM2. The detection limit for human ICAM2 is approximately 0.00245 ng/well |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

ICAM2 / CD102 Antibody Background
Intercellular adhesion molecule 2 ( ICAM2, CD102 ), belongs to the ICAM family consisting of three members identified as ligands for integrin receptors. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein with two Ig-like C2-type domains, and binds to the leukocyte integrins LFA-1 ( CD11a/CD18 ) and Mac-1 ( CD11b/CD18 ). ICAM2 is mainly expressed on vascular endothelial and hematopoietic cells. Interactions of ICAM2 and the integrin receptors mediate cell adhesion in a wide range of lymphocyte, monocyte, natural killer cell, and granulocyte with other cells, and play important roles in many adhesion-dependent immune and inflammation responses, such as T cell aggregation, NK-cell cytotoxicity and migration, lymphocyte recirculation, etc. This protein can be encoded by several transcript variants.
