• Specificity: Human DCIR / CLEC4A / CLECSF6
• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CLEC4A in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CLEC4A is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 0.25 ng/lane reducing conditions.
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CLEC4A. The detection limit for Human CLEC4A is approximately 0.00245 ng/well.
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
  Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

DCIR / CLEC4A / CLECSF6 Antibody Background

C-type lectin domain family 4 member A, also known as C-type lectin superfamily member 6, Dendritic cell immunoreceptor, Lectin-like immunoreceptor, C-type lectin DDB27, CLEC4A and CLECSF6, is a single-pass type II membrane protein which contains oneC-type lectin domain. CLEC4A / CLECSF6 is expressed preferentially in hematopoietic tissues. It is expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, neutrophils, moderate quantities in spleen, lymph node, and bone marrow, and at very low levels in thymus. CLEC4A / CLECSF6 contains one copy of a cytoplasmic motif that is referred to as the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitor motif (ITIM). This motif is involved in modulation of cellular responses. The phosphorylated ITIM motif can bind the SH2 domain of several SH2-containing phosphatases. CLEC4A / CLECSF6 may be involved in regulating immune reactivity. It may play a role in modulating dendritic cells (DC) differentiation and/or maturation. It may also be involved via its ITIM motif (immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs) in the inhibition of B-cell-receptor-mediated calcium mobilization and protein tyrosine phosphorylation.
