• Molecular Mass: The recombinant rat CHODL/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 436 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 48.9 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 60 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
• Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH7.4.

CHODL / Chondrolectin Protein Description

Chondrolectin, also known as Transmembrane protein MT75 and CHODL, is a single-pass type I membrane protein which contains one C-type lectin domain. Chondrolectin / CHODL is a novel type I transmembrane protein containing one carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD) of C-type lectins. Chondrolectin / CHODL is found in spleen, testis, prostate and fetal liver. Expression of Chondrolectin / CHODL is limited to vascular muscle of testis, smooth muscle of prostate stroma, heart muscle, skeletal muscle, crypts of small intestine, and red pulp of spleen.
