| Immunogen : |
Recombinant Human CEACAM8 / CD66b protein (Catalog#11729-H08H) |
| Antibody Type : | Mouse Monoclonal Antibody ( Mouse mAb Service Platform ) |
|
Clone ID : |
04 |
| Ig Type : |
Mouse IgG1 |
| Formulation : | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
| Preparation : |
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human CEACAM8 / CD66b (rh CEACAM8 / CD66b; Catalog#11729-H08H; NP_001807.2; Met 1-Ser 319). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
CEACAM8 / CD66b Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human CEACAM8 / CD66b |
|
No cross-reactivity in ELISA with Human cell lysate (293 cell line) |
|
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CEACAM8 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CEACAM8 is approximately 8 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 0.5 ng/lane under reducing conditions. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CEACAM8. The detection limit for Human CEACAM8 is approximately 0.031 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

CEACAM8 / CD66b Antibody Background
Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 8, also known as carcinoembryonic antigen CGM6, Non-specific cross-reacting antigen NCA-95, CEACAM8, CD66b and CGM6, is a cell membrane protein which belongs to theimmunoglobulin superfamily and CEA family. CEACAM8 / CD66b contains twoIg-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and oneIg-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. CEACAM8 / CD66b is a single chain, GPI-anchored, highly glycosylated protein belonging to the carcinoembryonic Ag supergene family. It is an activation marker for human granulocytes. CEACAM8 / CD66b is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. There are two subgroups of the CEA family, the CEA cell adhesion molecules and the pregnancy-specific glycoproteins, and seven CEACAM has been identified in humans including type I transmembrane proteins (CEACAM-1, CEACAM-3, CEACAM-4) and GPI-linked molecules (CEACAM-5, CEACAM-6, CEACAM-7, CEACAM-8). CEACAM family members are a set of widely expressed proteins involved in several biological functions, including cell adhesion, migration, signal transduction, and the regulation of gene expression. Abnormal overexpression and downregulation of some CEACAMs have been described in tumor cells.
