• Preparation: This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD30 / TNFRSF8 (rh CD30 / TNFRSF8; Catalog#10777-H08H; NP_001234.2; Met 1-Lys 379). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

• Specificity: Human CD30 / TNFRSF8
• No cross-reactivity in ELISA with

  Human cell lysate (293 cell line)

• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human TNFRSF8 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human TNFRSF8 is approximately 4 ng/lane under reducing conditions.Use of this antibody under non-reducing conditions is not recommended.
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human TNFRSF8. The detection limit for Human TNFRSF8 is approximately 0.0195 ng/well.
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
  Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

CD30 / TNFRSF8 Antibody Background

Human CD30, also known as TNFRSF8, is a cell membrane protein of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily and is expressed by activated, but not resting, T and B cells. CD30 can regulate proliferation of lymphocytes and may also play an important role in human immunodeficiency virus replication. Upon ligand binding, CD30 can initiate the signal transduction that leads to the activation of NF-kappaB mediated by the adaptor proteins TRAF2 and TRAF5. As a regulator of apoptosis, CD30 induces cell death or proliferation, depending on thecell type, and has been shown to limit the proliferative potential of autoreactive CD8 effector T cells and protect the body against autoimmunity. CD30 is expressed in embryonal carcinoma but not in seminoma, thus serving as a useful marker in distinguishing these germ cell tumors. Also, CD30 is expressed on classical Hodgkin Lymphoma cells together with CD15.
