• Specificity: Human CD16a / FCGR3A
• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human CD16a in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for human CD16a is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human CD16a. The detection limit for human CD16a is approximately 0.00245 ng/well
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
  Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

CD16a / FCGR3A Antibody Background

CD16 ( Fcγ RIII ) is a multifunctional,low/intermediate affinity receptor. In human, CD16 is expressed as two distinct forms ( CD16a and CD16b ) encoded by two different highly homologous genes in a cell type-specific manner. CD16a is an intermediate affinity polypeptide-anchored transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by a subset of T lymphocytes , natural killer ( NK ) cells, monocytes, and macrophages. CD16a has an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif ( ITAM ) in its cytoplasmic domain and delivers an activation signal in the immune responses. As an inflammatory mediator, CD16a receptor is involved in phagocytosis, secretion of enzymes, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity ( ADCC ), mast cell degranulation, and clearance of immune complexes.
