CD155 / PVR Protein Product Information

CD155 Synonym: 3830421F03Rik, CD155, D7Ertd458e, HVED, PVS, Taa1, Tage4, mE4
Protein Construction: A DNA sequence encoding the mouse CD155 ( NP_081790.1 ) precursor ( Met 1 - Arg 345 ) was fused with the C-terminal polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus
Source: Mouse
Expression Host: Human Cells

CD155 / PVR Protein QC Testing

Purity: > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE SDS-PAGE:
CD155 protein

CD155 protein

Bio-activity:

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA
Immobilized mouse DNAM1 at 2 μg/ml ( 100 μl/well ) can bind mouse CD155 with a linear ranger of 6.4 - 160 ng/ml

Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Stability: Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70℃
Predicted N terminal: Gly 28
Molecular Mass: The secreted recombinant mouse CD155 / Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer after removal of the signal peptide. The reduced monomer comprises 566 amino acids with a predicted molecular mass of 63 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates as an approximately 95-105 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS , pH 7.4
  1. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.
  2. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements.

CD155 / PVR Protein Usage Guide

Storage: Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage and usage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution: A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.

CD155 / PVR Protein Description

Mouse CD155, commonly known as PVR (poliovirus receptor) and Necl-5 (nectin-like molecule-5), is a type I  transmembrane single-span glycoprotein, and belongs to the nectins and nectin-like (Necl) subfamily. CD155 was originally identified based on its ability to mediate the cell attachment and entry of poliovirus (PV), an etiologic agent of the central nervous system disease poliomyelitis. The normal cellular function is in the establishment of intercellular adherens junctions between epithelial cells. Murine CD155 was first identified as an Mr approximately 66 kDa glycoprotein named Tage4 containing the conserved amino acids characteristic of members of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It was demonstrated in mice that the only available receptor for mCD96 present on thymocytes is mCD155 although mCD96 can also bind to nectin-1, a receptor related to CD155, Thus , CD96/CD155-interaction is preserved between human and mouse although both receptors are only moderately conserved in amino acid sequence, and the CD96/CD155-adhesion system performs a function in T cell biology and cell-mediated tumor-specific immunity.
