CSF2RB / CD131 Antibody Usage Guide

• Specificity: Human CSF2RB / CD131
• Western blot: This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect CSF2Rb in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for CSF2Rb is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions.
• Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human CSF2Rb. The detection limit for human CSF2Rb is approximately 0.00245 ng/well.
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
  Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

CSF2RB / CD131 Antibody Background

Colony stimulating factor 2 receptor, beta, low-affinity, also known as Cytokine receptor common subunit beta, CSF2RB, CDw131, and CD131, is a single-pass type I  membrane protein which belongs to the type I  cytokine receptor family and Type 4 subfamily. It is a 897 amino acid protein which the sequence is further processed into a mature form. The cytokine receptor is a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit, and this beta subunit (CD131) is also the common and high affinity receptor to the interleukin-3, interleukin-5 and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor. It contains two fibronectin type-III domains. The WSXWS motif of CD131 appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding. The box 1 motif of CD131 is required for JAK interaction and/or activation.
