Recombinant Human AXL protein (Catalog#10279-H08H) |
| Antibody Type : | Mouse Monoclonal Antibody ( Mouse mAb Service Platform ) |
|
Clone ID : |
5E1H1 |
| Ig Type : |
Mouse IgG1 |
| Formulation : | 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose |
| Preparation : |
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human AXL (rh AXL; Catalog#10279-H08H; NP_068713.2; Met 1-Pro 449). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. |
AXL Antibody Usage Guide
|
Specificity : |
Human AXL |
|
No cross-reactivity in ELISA with Mouse AXL Human cell lysate (293 cell line) |
|
| Western blot : | This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human AXL in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human AXL is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions.Use of this antibody under reducing conditions is not recommended. |
| Direct ELISA : | This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human AXL. The detection limit for Human AXL is approximately 0.0195 ng/well. |
| Storage : | This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |

AXL Antibody Background
AXL receptor tyrosine kinase, also known as AXL, is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTKs) subfamily characterized by two Ig-like motifs and two fibronectin type III motifs in the extracellular domains. This characteristic topology is also found in neural cell adhesion molecules and in receptor tyrosine phosphatases. This receptor can mediate cell aggregation by homophilic binding. AXL is also involved in signal transduction from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding growth factors, and thus implicated in the stimulation of cell proliferation.. The AXL gene is a chronic myelogenous leukemia-associated oncogene and associated with colon cancer and melanoma. The mouse AXL cDNA encodes an 888 aa precursor that includes an 18 aa signal sequence, a 427 aa extracellular domain, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 422 aa cytoplasmic domain. The extracellular domains of mouse and human Axl share 81% aa sequence identity.
